Victor Smith Condemns Killings of Judges

The special Assistant to Ex-President Rawlings, Mr Victor Smith has described the abduction and murder of the three high court judges and the retired army officer as tragic, unfortunate and a stain in the nation?s political history.

Mr Victor Smith was reacting to comments made by Mr Kwabena Adjepong, pres secretary to President Kufuor whose father was killed by the agents of the PNDC alongside two other high court judges and a retired army office. According to Mr Victor Smith, it is regrettable that some high-ranking members of the Kufuor administration are using the killing of the high court judges and the retired army officer to pursue a hidden political agenda against the Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings and captain (rtd) Kojo Tsikata.

According to Mr Victor Smith the NPP is using the killing of the judges and the retired army officer to smear the Ex-President and his former National Security Adviser.

Mr Victor Smith intimated that the NPP government is so determined to pursue a campaign of lies and vilification against Ex-president Rawlings and Captain (rtd) Kojo Tsikata and that people who appear before the National Reconciliation Commission to give testimony against Ex-President Rawlings and Captain Kojo Tsikata are disgruntled men whose evidence and testimony should not taken serious by right thinking Ghanaians.

Mr Victor Smith cited Mr Chris Asher and Corporal Mathew A dabuga as example of people who appeared at the NRC to tell lies against the Ex-President and his security capo. He described Chris Asher as a criminal ad a fugitive who has ran away from justice. Mr Victor Smith asserted that Corporal Mathew Adabuga is a peeved and discredited person whose words are not matched by any fact or truth.
