Victims of crash involving Veep’s convoy doing well - Central Regional Minister

The nine victims of Saturday night's motor accident involving the Vice Presidential Convoy and a passenger bus at Asemasa, near Beposo in the Western Region, are in stable condition and responding to treatment.

Three of them have, however, been transferred to the 37 Military Hospital whilst the rest are still receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH).

A source at the Hospital told the GNA the six who were on a passenger bus did not have life- threatening injuries. There were security officials among the injured.

Vice President Bawumia's Office reported that he escaped unhurt in the crash that claimed the life of the driver of passenger bus driver, which happened around 1830 hours.

Meanwhile, high profile personalities, including the Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamena Duncan and the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Paul Manly Awuni were at the Hospital to check on the patients and follow up on the related issues.
