The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has left the country today to witness the swearing-in of Guinea’s president-elect, Mamadi Doumbouya.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Stade General Lansana Conte in Conakry today, January 17, 2026.

The president-elect emerged victorious in Guinea’s 2025 presidential election after securing 86.7 votes.
He defeated Abdoulaye Yero Balde of the Democratic Front of Guinea and Faya Lansana Milimono, the flag bearer of the Liberal Bloc.
