Use your witchcraft to develop the community - Chief charges ‘witches and wizards’

The Paramount Chief of Ekumfi Traditional Area, Odeefo Akyin VIII has charged witches and wizards at Srafa, a notable fishing community in the Central Region to channel their spiritual powers into ensuring the development of the community rather than its destruction.

He observed that the area will need the support of persons who claim to have spiritual power to fully support the newly enstooled chief of the area to carry out his mandate of developing the place in all spheres.

The Paramount Chief made this known at the coronation of the new chief of Srafa after the seat became vacant for about 38 years reiterating the need for residents of Srafa to support their new chief to develop the area.

“Even if you are a witch or have any form of spirit, use it to support the chief to transform Srafa community” he challenged the residents.

He also outlined the achievements chalked by the Ekumfi Traditional Council in settling almost all outstanding chieftaincy disputes in the area.

Odeefo Akyin who has settled 34 long standing chieftaincy disputes out of 37, appealed to the people of Ekumfi to go on their knees to pray for him to enable him clear the remaining three, tasking the new chief to take advantage of the years the seat has been vacant to change the phase of Srafa to become an industrial hub.

The newly installed chief of Ekumfi Srafa, Nana Otwer Koko Nyeeku VII lauded Odeefo Akyin for fighting a good course to solve the biggest problem facing Srafa.

He pledged to work hard to promote unity in the area.
