Upper West PNC throws weight on NDC

Wa, Dec.18, GNA-The Upper West Regional Executives of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) have thrown their weight behind the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win the December 28, Presidential run-off.

In a statement issued and signed by the Regional Chairman of the party, Dr. Gilbert D. Bainge in Wa on Thursday, it made it known that all the regional membership and supporters of the party had resolved to throw their weight behind Professor Evans Atta Mills and the NDC. "We want to make sure that the agenda for change is won for the people and victory for Professor Mills and the NDC is victory for Ghanaians for development and progress", the statement said.

The statement called on supporters of the PNC and all other electorate in the region to come out and vote massively for the NDC on December 28 Presidential run off, saying: "The interest of the Upper West in particular and the country as a whole would be well catered for or served if we voted for Professor Mills and the NDC". The executives noted that both the PNC and the NDC were socialist parties that had the welfare of the people at heart and that there was no doubt that the NDC would implement policies that would help improve the lot of the people than the NPP. He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was a party without a human face and should not be voted into power to mess with the living conditions of the people.
