Upper ManyaKrobo MP Secures Exchange Programme Deals

Upper ManyaKrobo MP Secures Exchange Programme Deals for Constituents

The Member of Parliament for Upper ManyaKrobo Constituency Hon. Jeff Tettey Kavienu has secured a partnership deal with some international organisations in Europe for mentorship and internship programs for his constituents.

The project is scheduled to commence in the areas of education, health agriculture. The MP is scheduled for a tour of some selected European countries in December to finalize arrangements to this effect.

The youthful National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP told journalists in an interview that under the project some youth from renowned universities across the world will come to his constituency to teach in rural schools for year, whiles some also work at the health and agriculture sector especially with the extension officers.

He said, to promote the social democracy philosophy of the NDC, his office in collaboration with the Network of Journalists for the Promotion of Persons with Disabilities in Africa (PROMOAFRICA) will bring to forth some expertise to help persons with disabilities in the constituency to develop good working proposals and projects to enable them access the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF). “It is my belief that President Mahama and the NDC administration will give real meaning to the two main elements of social democratic philosophy that are the society and the individual welfare”.

He said responsibilities or duties are the social contract, and therefore there is need to expound the ideas abroad to seek support for the implementation of the social contract the NDC has with the good people of Ghana and his constituents.

He said, he his personally determined to improve education, health and agriculture and promote wealth creation activities among the youth and women. He called for support from his constituents for the successful implementation of the project and the extension of the Ghanaian hospitality to the foreigners who would come for the exchange program.

He said in due cause the project will extend to driver unions and market women associations among others.
