UTAG commended for deciding to make up time

Mankessim (C/R), June 19, GNA - The Abontsindomhene of Abeadze Traditional Area, Nana Nketia Afful, has commended the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), on its decision to organise extra classes to make up for time lost during its strike for improved condition of service.

He also praised the government for paying prompt attention to the demands of UTAG members.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Mankessim in the Central Region on Saturday, Nana Afful said that the decision to make up for the time lost has set the hearts of many parents at ease.

He appealed to UTAG and the government to set up a permanent negotiating team to engage in a dialogue any time there is the need to forestall breaks in the academic calendar of the universities.

Nana Afful urged the students to take full advantage of the university teachers' gesture.
