Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway has revealed that US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visit will be a memorable one as it will put Ghana on the spotlight.

According to her, the visit will draw a lot of attention to Ghana to encourage people to come into the country.

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to address the Parliament of Ghana on Wednesday as been warned by a Trump supporter in Ghana against making denigrating comments about the US President.

In an interview with Ghanaweb ahead of the visit, the Foreign Minister stated that the visit will also enhance relations between America and Ghana and also throw light on the year of return.

“Nancy Pelosy and her large delegation will put the spotlight on Ghana. First of all it’s going to make the year of return very meaningful because it going to draw attention to Ghana. So this visit is a way of drawing people’s attention and also encourage other people to come.”

She added that Ghana tourism will be promoted as the Nancy Pelosi and her team will visit some tourist centers to commiserate the e 400th anniversary of the first enslaved Africans landing in America.
