UCF congratulates Mills for choice of running mate

Accra, April 9, GNA- The United Cadre Front, a pressure group within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated Professor John Evans Atta-Mills for choosing Mr. John Dramani Mahama, MP for Bole Bamboi as his running mate for the December 2008 presidential election.

A statement issued by the National Chairman of the UCF, Kwame Abonie in Accra on Wednesday said : "This fateful decision is not only at home with the Party rank and file but is welcome news to majority of the Ghanaian people who would happily vote for this divine ticket".

The statement said Mr. Mahama's partnership with Prof. Mills is "certainly the magnet to attract the crucial floating votes the NDC needs to bring relief to Ghanaians this December".

It called on party adherents from all ethnic and religious groups to rally behind the duo to bring victory to the party. 09 April 08
