UCC TEIN congratulates Mr Mahama on his selection as running mate

Cape Coast April 11, GNA - Members of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) branch of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday congratulated Mr John Dramani Mahama for being selected to partner Professor John Evans Atta-Mills, Flagbearer of the NDC in the December polls. A press release issued in Cape Coast and signed by Mr Peter Sorbobr, Secretary, thanked the National Executive Committee (NEC), the council of elders, Prof Atta-Mills and members of the party for the peaceful manner in which Mr Mahama was approved as the running mate for the party.

"Considering your experience in both local and national politics, serving as MP and former minister, communication director of the party as well as ranking member in parliament and serving under various committees in the house, we don't doubt your capabilities for such a position". They further said his level of understanding and experience in politics, competencies and hard work have made him to win the hearts of many Ghanaians, both within and outside the party. "We do believe that these qualities of yours coupled with that of our astute flag-bearer is a complete match for victory for the NDC come December 7, 2008". They urged all Ghanaians to vote massively for the party to return it to power and called on party supporters and members to close their ranks and rally behind the flag-bearer and the running mate to take the party to victory in the general elections.
