Two suspects have been arrested by the Kasoa Divisional Police Command in connection with the stabbing of one Soot Ogani, a 27-old Nigerian at Buduburam in the Central Region on Wednesday.

The suspects, Ofori Yaw, alias Rasta, a 31-year-old trader and Michael Nkansah, a 24-year-old student, were picked up in their hideout at Kasoa through police intelligence.

The third suspect Abass Abdullai, who was alleged to have killed the victim, is on the run.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Irene Oppong, the Central Regional Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the arrest to the Ghana News Agency, said on May 2, 2018, at about 1900 hours, Sheikh Ibrahim Al Fayed, Chief Imam of Buduburam reported that at 1530 hours the same day, he had information that someone had been stabbed within the area and he rushed to scene.

Unfortunately, he said, he met the victim, Ogani in a pool of blood with a deep cut in his thigh, adding that a witness told him the victim was stabbed by the third suspect.

The victim was rushed to the St. Gregory Catholic Hospital, Buduburam, where he was pronounced dead shortly on arrival.

The body of the deceased had been deposited at the same hospital morgue pending transfer to the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

ASP Oppong called on all Ghanaians to volunteer information for the arrest of the third suspect to face the law.
