Breman Asikuma (C/R), May 27, GNA - The police at Konongo Odumasi in the Ashanti Region have arrested and handed over to their Breman Asikuma counterparts, two more suspects involved in causing damage to a faulty grader belonging to a Cape Coast road contractor. The suspects, Augustine Mawuley and Yaw Aboagye were arrested upon a tip-off bringing to five the number of persons so far arrested in connection with the damage to the machine.

The first three were remanded in police custody by a district magistrate's court at Breman Asikuma last week. Police Chief Inspector Gershon Awuyeh of the Breman Asikuma police told the Ghana News Agency that a sister of one Kwasi Yeboah, a witness in the case who was living at Odumasi and had had information about the suspects sported them in the town (Odumasi) and alerted the police. Chief Inspector Awuyeh said the first three suspects mentioned Mawuley and Aboagye as accomplishes.

He said the five suspects were found on May 17 2007, cutting the grader that had been parked at the outskirts of Breman Asikuma into pieces of scrap when police arrested three of them but Mawuley and Aboagye took to their heels and bolted. 27 May 07
