Two ex-military men involved in several robberies arrested

Two military officers who allegedly abused their uniforms by engaging in criminal activities are in the grip of the Cantonments Police.

The two, Bujoux as he's popularly called and Baffour Acheampong were arrested upon a tip-off and have since being expelled from the Military.

Divisional Officer in charge of Crime at the Cantonments Police Station, Superintendent Maxwell Agyemang revealed that a search at the homes of the two accused confirmed the suspicion that they were personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces after uniforms and other documents were found.

He appealed to the general public to continue to help the Ghana Police Service deliver on its mandate of providing maximum security by providing information on anything usual within their communities.

He said, "the police believes they are not the only culprits and was uncovered upon a tip-off, therefore we appeal to the public to be forth coming with information so that the police can follow up. We assure the public of maximum protection of identity"

A victim of a robbery attack who narrated his ordeal, said he was beaten and harassed by the two ex-military men.
