Two dead, several others injured in Kumasi accident

Two persons have been confirmed dead with several others injured in an accident at Race Course in Kumasi.

The accident occurred at about 9:00 am on Monday morning when driver of a truck with registration number AS- 9817-13 loaded with Cement lost control, killing two people at the spot.

One of the deceased, Bernice Tay is said to be a first year student of Saint Luis College according to the Suame Police MTTU Commander K.K. Kawudie.

An Eyewitness who spoke to Abusua News Osei Kwadwo said the cement car lost control in attempt to park near the road.

Sources close to Abusuafmonline.com suggest the first year student of the Saint Luis College was withdrawing money from a nearby mobile money vendor operator where she met her untimely death.

It took the intervention of fire service personnel and Police to remove the injured from the truck after the incident.

The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Morgue whiles those who sustained severe injuries are receiving treatment.

The driver of the Cement truck is yet to be identified.
