Two-day Ministerial Budget Review Meeting opens

Akosombo (E/R), Aug. 4, GNA - A two-day Ministerial Meeting for Ministers of State opened at Akosombo in the Eastern Region on Thursday to review this year's budgetary performance. Addressing the opening session, President John Agyekum Kufuor said the Government had instituted a quarterly review meeting of its performance "and the next two-days will be used to review our performance so far".

President Kufuor said there had been changes in the budgetary period and next year's budget would be presented before the end of the year, adding "we will also plan towards the budget for next year".
