Two Ambassadors bid farewell to President Akufo-Addo

Two Ambassadors have paid courtesy calls on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to bid him farewell after completing their tour of duty.

The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Hisham Mishal Al-Suwailem and that of Brazil, Irene Vida Gala. Both served a five year term.

At a brief ceremony at Flagsatff House, President Akufo Addo, thanked them for their service.

He told the outgoing Brazilian Ambasador to fast track the process of starting a sickle cell project at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

He said the project is dear to the heart of government and called for the removal of all obstacles hindering the project.

The Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana Irene Vida Gala was grateful to serve in Ghana.

She said the cooperation between the two countries in terms of education, trade and infrastructure has grown.

President Akufo Addo also thanked the Saudi Arabia Ambassador for his work during his duty in Ghana.

He said government will ensure an incident free Hajj pilgrimage.

The Saudi Ambassador Hisham Mishal Al-Suwailem was grateful to Ghana for the warm reception accorded him.

He stated that his country will continue to extend aid and other packages to Ghana, and build on the existing relations.
