Twitter user recounts horrid experience with an ‘unprofessional’ STC driver

A twitter user by name Hassan, tweeting with the account @alhassan233, has recounted an unpleasant situation that happened with an STC driver on his way to Kumasi from Accra.

Hassan who says he has been using the STC for the past three years said he had never experienced anything as traumatizing as his recent trip due to the driver’s unprofessional conduct.

Hassan before narrating his ordeal thanked the STC management for their timely response to a situation that could have ended badly, and also to the anonymous caller, whose call to STC saved all passengers on board that bus from what could have been fatal.

According to Hassan, from the beginning of their journey from Accra, passengers and pedestrians banged their bus, cussed and cursed the driver for his careless driving on the road. He said the driver’s level of unprofessionalism was something he had never seen before.

What made it, even more, scarier was when the driver after reaching Amasaman, stopped and handed the bus to another person to drive, whiles he took his time to teach this new driver how to operate the bus.

Hassan narrates that, the new driver in his effort to overtake a tipper truck driver who wouldn't bulge almost caused the two cars to slam into each other.

The unfortunate incident forced passengers to scream for their lives.

Hassan says it is at this point that he believes someone called the STC office to alert them of what was going on.

Hassan continues that after a short time, the driver was called to park the car at Linda Dor for a new driver to take over, and it was at this point that the STC driver, whose name is still not known, decided to curse and throw tantrums at the passengers and whoever ‘snitched’ on him.

Meanwhile, STC in a tweet has apologised to Hassan for the inconvenience caused and that of the behaviour of the driver.

"Hello Hassan, We once again apologise for the inconvenience and behaviour of the driver on the said bus and thanks for reporting this incident as it happened for our operations department to act and resolve your concerns. Thanks for #RideWithSTC"
