Tullow Oil inaugurates assembly hall for Half Assini SHS

Tullow Ghana Limited, operator of the Jubilee and TEN oil fields, has handed over a newly constructed one thousand, five hundred capacity assembly hall complex to the Half Asini Senior High School in the Jomoro municipality of the Western Region.

The project which was funded from Tullow‘s social investment budget began in October 2015 and was completed in 2017.

The newly constructed Assembly hall has two offices, changing rooms for males and females, adjoining washrooms, a control room and two storerooms.

The Managing Director of Tullow Ghana, Mr. Kweku Awotwi said the company was committed to education in the country, especially in the western region which formed part of its operational areas.

Director of Exploration and development at Tullow, Nana Appia Kyei on his part said the project demonstrates Tullow’s commitment to education since it began its operation in 2007.

He mentioned that a legacy of good education is a contributing factor to the nation’s development.

The headmaster of the school, Mr. Kwaku Tsikata expressed their profound gratitude to Tullow Ghana and gave the assurance that the facility would be put to good use.

He also mentioned a few challenges the school is facing including limited classrooms and girls dormitory.
