Another journalist is said to have resigned from Graphic Communications Group Another journalist is said to have resigned from Graphic Communications Group

Barely a week after news broke that seasoned Journalist with the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), Mabel Aku Baneseh, had resigned, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed yet another resignation.

This time, prolific writer with the state-owned media, Seth Kwame Bokpe, is the latest - bringing the total number of resignations to have hit the establishment in four months to 5.

Our sources revealed that Mr. Bokpe submitted his letter last week and will be leaving by the end of November 2019.

He is said to be one of the talented journalists in the newsroom who joined Graphic for his National Service in 2010 and was later retained.

Sources confided in this portal that more resignations are expected in the coming as staff feel disillusioned in management.

The resignations Seth Kwame Bokpe and Mabel Aku Baneseh within a week come months after Sebastian Syme, Musah Jafaru and Victor Kwawukume, who until recently was the Deputy Political editor had all exited the company.

Reasons for these strings of resignations are not immediately known but from the grapevine, Journalists who have worked in the company for even 10 years take less than GH¢1,700 home monthly with no hope of when salaries could be adjusted.

Meanwhile, a former staff of the company and General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Kofi Yeboah has called for an immediate intervention in matters at the Graphic Group.
