The Chartered Institute of Realtors (CIR) and the Chamber of Real Estate (CRE) have announced that they will be holding a lecture series on land law in Ghana.

The series will have a host of top legal representatives lecturing throughout and will feature topics on; Property Rights and Ownership, Land Registration and Documentation, Land Use Planning and Zoning, Land Transactions, Disputes and Resolutions and Legal aspects of Development Projects.

The lecture, scheduled for the 18th, 20th, 25th and 27th of June 2024, to be held at the Africa Trade House auditorium, Ridge, Accra will be kicked off by legal luminary Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata speaking on the topic, “The Real Estate Industry in Ghana and National Development".

This will be the maiden lecture series of the institute and will expound on the critical role the real estate industry plays in our national development as a country seeking to be an industrial force in the African and global space.

Academician and Lawyer Mr Tsatsu Tsikata, touted by many as a Ghanaian Law genius, an esteemed, seasoned and noble practitioner of Ghanaian Law, brings his wealth of experience from the legal background to this discussion. With a career spanning decades, he is known for his expertise in corporate law and constitutional matters, having been involved in several high-profile cases in Ghana. In this lecture, Mr. Tsikata will be examining the pivotal role of legal reforms in driving sustainable development, fostering investment confidence and ensuring equitable access to housing and land resources, thus, contributing to Ghana’s overarching national development agenda.

Tsatsu Tsikata will be lecturing from 5 pm to 8 pm on day one. As the lecture series unfolds, attendees will be expecting an in-depth analysis of pertinent legal frameworks shaping the real estate landscape, shedding light on the intricacies of regulatory changes, compliance issues, property rights, land tenure systems and among others, promoting fair and equitable resolution for all stakeholders involved.
