Transport owners using VIP trademark illegally

Management of VIP JEOU Transport Limited, the official patent owner of the VIP trademark, has warned transport owners to desist from using their trademark illegally to transact their businesses.

“We are serving notice to all those who have been using our trademark unlawfully to desist from the practice or risk facing legal action”, Professor Lukemond Owusu Ansah, Finance Director and Spokesperson for the Company, has told a press conference in Kumasi.

“Management is giving a 21 day ultimatum to private transport owners using the VIP logo to advise themselves since it is a registered trademark”, he insisted.

Prof. Owusu Ansah said using their logo illegally to transact business amounted to dishonesty, saying services provided by those private companies, who had “stolen” the VIP trademark, compromised their standard and vowed never to allow that to continue.

“We are on daily basis inundated with complaints by our unsuspecting customers, as to the kind of services provided by those private companies operating under our logo”, he said.

He gave the assurance that management of the VIP JEOU Transport Limited would continue to offer the best of services to their cherished customers, while keeping an eagle’s eye on the unscrupulous private transport owners bent on destroying their hard-won image.
