An okada rider has died in a fatal accident at Tetegu on the Accra–Kasoa stretch.

The incident, which occurred around 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, involved a commercial trotro bus.

In an adomonline.com report on September 18, 2025, the vehicle ran over the rider, killing him on the spot.

"The bus ran over the rider's head after knocking down his motorbike," the report said.

The passenger on the motorbike, however, survived but sustained severe injuries.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the trotro allegedly sped off after the crash. Police have since conveyed the body of the deceased to the mortuary for preservation.

The deceased, who was known to operate his business at Old Barrier on the Kasoa road, was popular among fellow riders.
