The Awoamefia of the Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III, has lauded the Akufo-Addo-led-government’s efforts to develop the country to contribute enhance the livelihoods of Ghanaians.

He refuted claims that the New Patriotic Party’s government is not putting in much effort to develop the country adding the numerous completed and ongoing projects in the country is enough evidence to indicate government commitment to deliver on its mandate.

Torgbui Sri III who chaired the maiden town hall meeting said: “it is needless to say that the government is not doing its very best, all that I have seen this morning surprises me”.

“It is a fact not open to dispute that the government is doing well” he stated and urged the citizenry to support government deliver exceedingly on its development agenda aimed at improving the living standard of Ghanaians.

The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, emphasized policies and program being implemented by the Akufo-Addo-led-government has contributed to transform more lives in the history of the country in the last decade.

This he said was made possible through the implementation of strong and robust social intervention programs.

He illustrated the provision of free second cycle education, enrollment in the health sector, stable power supply to drive productivity, 100,000 unemployed graduates recruited under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), School Feeding, Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty programme among others.

“In two and half years the Akufo-Addo administration has touched more live than has been done in any other time in our country in the last 10 years”, he said.

Mr Nkrumah also indicated government’s commitment to build a strong macro economic foundation to propel growth of the private sector.
