Tomato traders disrupt school in Fanteakwa

Obooho (E/R), June 15, GNA - The Fanteakwa District Director of Education, Ms Mary Animwah, has expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which tomato traders had been disrupting school activities at the Obooho District Assembly Primary School. Ms Animwah said this during an inspection visit to the schools at Ohooho on Monday.

She said for some weeks now tomato farmers at Obooho had deserted the main market centre in the town and created an unauthorized market at the school thereby distracting the attention of both teachers and pupils during instructional hours.

The District Director said the practice was making teaching and learning ineffective and appealed to the Fanteakwa District Assembly to intervene and re-locate the tomato traders to create a conducive atmosphere in the school.
