Thousands converge at Trade Fair for NPP's manifesto launch

The New Patriotic Party today launches its 2016 election manifesto to complete its task for a neck-and-neck showdown with its main contender in this year’s December 7 general elections, the National Democratic Congress.

Today’s unveiling of the full details of the blueprint, snippets of which have been revealed by the party’s presidential nominee, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the last few weeks, will add an impetus to the party’s 2016 campaign drive.

Events heralding today’s launch have not been rosy, as the party has had to defer it at least twice, while some key members claimed earlier this week the contents of the document have been stolen verbatim by the All People’s Congress.

Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia with the party executives, will host key people from civil society and identifiable groups, political parties, embassies and diplomatic missions, to sell the various programmes and policies the party intends to use for the governance of the country in the next four years should it win the elections.

Christened “Agenda for Change: Jobs, Prosperity and Securing the Peace,” the party is convinced the various programmes and policies covering all sectors of the economy, have what it takes to drive Ghana to economic growth and secured future.

The stakeholder launch will be followed by a major rally at the Accra International Trade Fair site in the afternoon where thousands of supporters and members will gather for the various party high-ups to address them.

The party supporters and members as well as the Ghanaian electorates will have their turn at the event to know what a New Patriotic Party government under the three-time nominee, Akufo-Addo, can offer them should the party win the December 7 polls.
