Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey has been strongly linked to Arsenal this summer.

Footballghana.com is monitoring the situation closely and now have an update on the transfer saga.

The 26-year-old has also been linked to Manchester United, PSG and Juventus.

Saul Niguez brought the football world to a standstill after he dropped a hint about a new club. However, has emerged that the Spanish striker is taking a new challenge to invest in a youth team at Elche.

This new decision has now made it clear that Partey is now likely to make the switch to the Premier League this summer.

With the €50 million release clause, Arsenal must only cough the money to get the signature of the dynamic midfielder.

Footballghana.com last month reported that Partey was desperate to move to England this summer.

Following the report by this portal, Partey’s father, Jacob Partey in an interview with the Ghanaian media, confirmed that he son will join the Premier League side.

However, reports in Spain claim, Diego Simeone, who is the head coach of the side is also desperate to keep the Ghanaian.

Partey has been a key figure for the 2015 Europa League champions.

He was on top of his game against Liverpool in the Champions League return encounter at Anfield.

According to WhoScored, Partey has made 21 starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Atletico so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.

The Ghana international also scored one goal and provided one assist in eight Champions League games for the Spanish outfit this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Footballghana.com editor, Samuel Ekow Amoasi Appiah in an interview with The Transfer Exchange Show revealed that Partey will certainly join the Gunners.

“As per a close source to Thomas Partey, the player wants to play for Arsenal. Expect Partey to play in Arsenal next season, expect him to be in England, I can assure you of that.”

“Partey wants to play for Arsenal, he wants to be in England. Last week, I was told that Essien has got in touch with him and I wouldn’t be surprised because close sources tell me that Partey wants to play in England and especially Arsenal.”

With Niguez now staying at the club, Atletico have now entered the race to sign fellow Ghanaian midfielder, Idrissu Baba as Partey’s replacement.

The 24-year-old fits the bill at the Wanda Metropolitano because of his physicality and craftiness.

He is under contract at the Iberostar Estadi until 2024 and was a key member of Vicente Moreno's side.

Baba, the Ghana international, started all the 25 matches he featured in before the suspension of the league.

Partey has openly admitted his love for the Premier League but insisted that he is focused on playing for Atletico Madrid.

To make it clear, Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague has also hinted that Partey could be heading to England in the summer following his reluctance to sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid.

Balague on his YouTube channel opened up on the midfield stalwart's situation at Atletico, and Arsenal's chances of making a move on the player in the summer transfer window.

“What I am hearing, he has a buyout clause of €50m, and Atletico would like him to sign a new contract,” Balague said.

“But he is not signing a new contract that is as much as I can tell you.”

“Has there been contact? There was a very clear possibility of him moving to England last summer. Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all enquired. That is as much as we can say.”

Partey has however joined his Atletico Madrid teammates in training as they prepare for the return of the La Liga but Footballghana.com again can exclusively confirm that Partey in the next few days will make his future clear as he prepares to move to England before the 2019/20 La Liga season ends.

Arsenal are not giving up on signing the midfielder and the former Almeria and Mallorca loanee is determined to make a mark in the Premier League.
