Thieves raid Fennec's house

Just a day after the gruesome murder of artiste manager Fennec Okyere, NEWS-ONE has gathered that some unknown persons have again broken into his house.

They smashed the driver’s side of the glass window of his Ford pickup and stole his laptop, camera and a few other documents.

The contents of the laptop were not readily known but the fact that the thieves broke into Fennec’s car a day after his murder raises a lot of suspicion.

If it was purely coincidental, it would be a rather curious one, especially when there was a lot of police presence and public attention on the house after Fennec’s death.

The late Fennec Okyere, who contributed to Ghana’s entertainment industry in many ways, was found dead in the wee hours of Thursday March 13, at his Spintex home in Accra.

The Ghana Police Service is still investigating the matter, to possibly fish out the murderers.

Meanwhile, Fennec’s shocking death is getting reactions from the music industry and beyond as to the reason behind his murder.

Tears are still flowing for the young man as most of his friends have been trooping to his home to mourn with the family.

When NEWS-ONE visited his home on Saturday, there were still a number of dignitaries and friends coming through to express their condolences to the bereaved family.

Kwaw Kese wondered what his manager might have done for anybody to want him dead.

“I was with Fennec on Wednesday morning. We were here to talk about music collaboration with a Nigerian musician from Davido’s camp. He is called Dynagogue. The boy was here, and we spoke about the song. Fennec had to go to work, so I left. That was the last time I heard from him.

“I think Fennec is a hero because we created something and made it stand the test of time in the industry. We branded the “Abodam” thing, and that brand has grown. All that was done by some inspiration from Fennec; he played an important role in it. So I will forever miss Fennec. Yeah, I will forever miss him,” Kwaw Kese told NEWS-ONE on Saturday.

Madtime Entertainment boys, who are fuming with rage over the delay in apprehending the persons behind the murder, have been advised by the Family of the deceased to calm down for the law to take its course.
