The First Deputy Majority Whip of Ghana's Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Ada Constituency, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, while sharing a brief history of her romantic life, noted that she got married at a very young age.

Recounting her experience, the Member of Parliament stated that she gave birth to her first child at the age of 19.

“I got married at a very young age. I gave birth to my first child at the age of 19. It wasn’t a teenage pregnancy, and I didn’t date before getting married,” she said.

Cudjoe-Ghansah further noted that no man in Ghana can point a finger at her and claim that they were once in a romantic relationship before her marriage.

“No man in Ghana can point a finger at me and say I was his former girlfriend. I don’t have anything like that. The worst anyone can say is that I was a former wife.

“The first person who married me was the first person to break my virginity, so I don’t have anything like a former boyfriend,” she added.

Vincent Ekow Assafuah

The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo Constituency, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, also recently exchanged vows with his partner, a medical practitioner called Dr Charis in a private ceremony.

In a post shared by The1957News via X on Saturday, March 7, 2026, the intimate celebration reportedly brought together close family and friends who witnessed the couple’s union in a serene and joyful atmosphere.

Although the event was kept low-key, it is said to have radiated elegance and affection, marking a beautiful new chapter in the life of the young legislator and his bride.

However, in the aftermath of the ceremony, the lawmaker has also become the subject of public debates, particularly on social media, following allegations made by a female TikTok content creator.

The TikTok creator alleged that interaction with the MP progressed to the point where they went out on a date.

“I went on a date with this man. I asked him, are you married? He said, no. I asked him, do you have kids? Because the way he is old and his stature I was doubting, incase he has kids somewhere so I asked, do you have kids? He said, no,” she stated.

She added that they had what she described as a pleasant outing and that the MP paid the bill.

“We went on a beautiful date. It was nice. He paid the bill and all those kinds of things. This is evidence that I met him. You can even see that he asked me of the bill,” she added.

Recounting further details of the alleged encounter, the woman claimed that the MP briefly stepped away during the date to take a phone call.

“At the date, he said he wanted to answer an urgent call so he left me at the restaurant and he went to stand outside for a long time. So I was inside the place eating and when I finished, he texted me asking about the bill. I said the bill was 500 cedis,” she claimed.

According to her, their conversations were cordial and she initially thought the interaction could develop into a serious relationship.

However, she claimed she eventually blocked the MP after he allegedly made a request she was uncomfortable with.

“We had beautiful conversations. And on that day, I thought, you know, it would lead to marriage because I liked him. Right now I've blocked him and the main reason why I blocked him is because when we met on the first date, he was like spend a night with me,” the lady accused Assafuah.

The lady said she refused and only later realised through TikTok that he is married.
