The real reason Asiedu Nketiah is embarking on a 'Thank You Tour'

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has explained that his ongoing “Thank You Tour” is meant to appreciate party executives, cadres, and grassroots organisers for their contributions to the party's 2024 Election victory, while also reinforcing party structures ahead of future political contests.

According to a report by 3news.com, he made this known while addressing party executives and members in the Akuapem North Constituency on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Asiedu Nketiah recounted the strategic division of responsibilities during the 2024 campaign.

According to him, the national executives created three campaign teams, one led by President John Dramani Mahama, another by the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and the third by himself as National Chairman.

He explained that while President Mahama and Professor Opoku-Agyemang focused on the presidential race, he was tasked with steering the parliamentary campaign.

“We (NDC) realised that the elections had two main fronts, the presidential and parliamentary. It was important for President Mahama to focus entirely on the presidential contest, while my team worked to secure parliamentary seats,” he said.

The tour will run from September 17 to 19, 2025, across 16 constituencies in the Eastern Region.
