The Asante Professionals Club endorses ....

The people of Ghana
shall soon be participating in another important election exercise to select
members for the Council of State. Each region shall be voting to choose its
representative on this august and important constitutional body.

The Asante
Professionals Club (APC) wishes to throw its weight behind the candidature of Dr.
Anthony Ossei who doubles as the Manwerehene of Asantehene, Otumfuo Nana Osei
Tutu II. Dr. Ossei's stool name is Baffour Ossei Hyeaman Brantuo VI.

We have taken this
decision because in our candid opinion, Nana Manwerehene is the best candidate to
represent the Ashanti Region on the Council of State. We arrived at this after
a careful analysis and scrutiny of the life and person of Nana Manwerehene.

Besides his duties as
a traditional ruler, Nana Manwerehene also serves as the Special Aide to Asantehene.
As Special Aide, he represents Otumfuo at many important events and is part of
essential delegations to places, home and abroad, to conduct developmental
business on behalf of Asanteman.

In his private life,
Nana Manwerehene is a Medical Practitioner. He also serves as the Managing
Editor and Publisher of the New Nation Times Newspaper. He wields a lot of
business acumen serving as the Executive Chairman of the Candela Group of Companies.

Nana Manwerehene is a
staunch Catholic, knighted to the rank of Past Grand Knight (PGK) of the Noble
Order of the 'Knights and Ladies of Marshall, Council 3, in Kumasi.

The Asante
Professionals Club, being a development oriented club with focus on Asanteman,
is proud to have Nana Manwerehene as Otumfuo's chosen representative to serve
as patron and liaison between the Club and Manhyia. Over the past few years, we
at Asante Professionals Club have come to know Nana Manwerehene as someone who
the development and welfare of Asanteman. Otumfuo could not have chosen a
better person to work with us in the attainment of the Club's objectives.

We therefore wish to
encourage the electorates to vote overwhelmingly for Nana Manwerehene as
Asanteman's representative on the Council of State. We have no iota of doubt
that Nana Manwerehene shall continue to prioritize and push the development
agenda of Asanteman when given the opportunity to serve on the Council of
