Techiman District Prepared For Disaster

Techiman (B/A), July 15, A three-day workshop on disaster preparedness organized by the Techiman district assembly and the Ghana Red Cross Society ended at Techiman on Monday. It was attended by officials of the Red Cross and National Mobilization Programme, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, and members of the assembly's Sub-committee on Disaster Management, among others. The Techiman district chief executive, Mr. Francis Yaw Gyarko, said the assembly has set aside five million cedis this year to cater for victims of disasters. He said the assembly will implement the outcome of the deliberations during the workshop to prevent disasters in the district.
