Tebibiiano residents commission roundabout, bus stop.

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - The Members of Tebibiiano Noyaa Kpee, a progress club at Tebibiiano, a newly developed area at Teshie in the Ledzokuku constituency in Accra on Saturday commissioned a roundabout and a bus stop.

Both projects are valued at 6.7 million cedis. The roundabout is meant to curb the incessant accidents that occur on a blind-curve on a stretch of the Teshie-Tebibiiano road, while the bus stop is to offer commuters respite from the scorching sun.

Mr Gabriel Laryea Edwards, Chairman of the Club, told the GNA that members of the club saw it fit and expedient to provide both facilities as part of their civic responsibility to safeguard life and property.

He said the club, with a current membership of 105, made up of residents and property owners in the area was presently embarking on a streetlight project to curb the activities of criminals who would want to take advantage of the darkness in some areas.

Mr Edwards said that the club was also planning to provide drainage system in the area to forestall the perennial flooding and called on other residents to show some interest in the activities of the club as well as the development of the area.

Funds for these projects are solicited from property owners but mainly from the contributions of the members.
