The MP for Ejura-Sekyedumasi, Mr Peter Boakye-Ansah, has called a a ban on timber felling in the transitional zone of the country to check further degradation ofhte vegetation. Speaking at Sekyedumasi after insecting an eight acre teak plantation establisehd by members of the branch ofhte Seventh Day Adventist Church, he said the tranistional zone is one of the most heavily exploited for timber and charcoal burning.
