Teacher in court for threatening colleague

Accra Nov. 10, GNA - A Togolese teacher, Gilbert Zologlo was on Monday put before an Accra Circuit Court charged with threat of harm and offensive conduct. Zologlo, who was said to have threatened to burn his colleague's car and house pleaded guilty. The court, presided over Mrs Ivy Heward-Mills has remanded him into prison custody for sentencing on November 24. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr George Abavelim said the accused is the Executive Director of Languages World International while the complainant Mumuni Dimbie is the Director of Centre of Languages and Professional Studies at Kotobabi in Accra. Prosecution said Zologlo arrived in Ghana and took English lessons at the complainant's school and after completing his studies was employed as a teacher.

ASP Abavelim said Zologlo was however dismissed from the School by the complainant but he (accused) managed to set his own school. Zologlo later wrote tracts in which he referred to complainant as a crazy fool and threatened to burn down his car and house in the presence of other witnesses. The complainant later reported the matter to the police who arrested the accused.
