Tanoso builds 50 million- cedi school block

The people of Tanoso-Techiman in Brong Ahafo have completed a 50-million cedi Senior Secondary School (SSS) block to absorb junior secondary school (JSS) graduates in the town and seven other surrounding communities. The four classroom building with administrative offices, was started 10 years ago but was abandoned until two years ago when a decision was taken to complete it. Nana Owusu Korkor, the Akwamuhene, said the management of the school decided to run classes for 30 form one students during the academic year and that four National Service graduates are handling them JSS graduates in the area continued to score good grades in the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), but the greater percentage of them could not continue their education at the SSS level due to poor financial stand of parents and guardians.
