Prostitutes operating within the Tamale Metropolis are in big trouble as security agencies have vowed to flush them out following the arrest of their Queen Mother, Chioma Sabina Abaraonye currently in Accra awaiting deportation.
DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko, Northern Regional Police Public Rations Officer (PRO) dropped the hint in view of emerging secret threats with reports suggesting the harlots are working in concert with criminals.
His comments were also in reaction to concern raised by a caller to radio station about the proliferation of brothels within the ancient city among others.
“Very soon, he (the caller) will see an action taken. We will take action on them. The foreigners who are part of it, we will give them to the immigration for them to be sent back to their country.” the Police spokesperson said in response.
“And when they come back we will do same to them. So that one I promise him (caller) that we will do something about it. The Regional Commander has already given instructions for us to flash those people out of the place”, he added.
