Tamale Teaching Hospital gets modern ambulance

Tamale, April 23, GNA - The Tamale Teaching Hospital has received a state of the art ambulance from the City of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.

The Ghana Northern Union of the Metropolitans in Chicago facilitated the package.

Mr. Alidu Fusein, a Member of the Group, who presented the ambulance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Dr. Ken Sageo, said the group was touched by the deprived facilities at the hospital and facilitated for the ambulance. He urged the management of the hospital to maintain the ambulance well enough to serve its purpose. Mr. Fusein, who is a career Civil Servant, said the group had also shipped assorted medical equipment which are still on the high seas and will soon be arriving in the country and be presented to the hospital.

Dr. Sageo commended the group for the donation and appealed to various benevolent groups to assist the hospital with medical equipment to aid them in the discharge of their duties. He said the ambulance comes as a relief to the hospital since the health facility's only ambulance had broken down. Dr. Sageo said the hospital is currently one of the best in the country serving people across the three Northern regions adding that improvement by way of health equipments would put the hospital at a higher level. 23 April 11
