Tafohene and OKESS board warn encroachers

Kumasi, March 15, GNA - Nana Agyem Frempong II, Tafohene, and the board of governors of Osei Kyeretwie Secondary School (OKESS), have warned illegal occupiers of the school's lands to vacate immediately. A press release jointly signed by Nana Frempong, the school's board chairman, Nana Appiah Dankwah III, and Mr Kwadwo Opuni Boachie, the headmaster, said those who would not heed the warning "would have themselves to blame".

The release stated that the Asatehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, has decided in favour of the school regarding the ownership of the portion of land popularly known as block 19B, West Old-Tafo. That portion of land therefore forms part of a 168.28 acre-land for OKESS.

The release said it had come to the notice of the Tafohene and the board that one Prophetess Elizabeth Oppong and others had illegally assumed ownership of the said land and allocating it to people for estate development.

It reiterated that neither the Prophetess nor the others has any legal or customary right to allocate any part of the land to anybody.
