TV3 secures court order to avert dismissed staff picketing

The Management of TV3 has foiled a planned picketing on the station’s premises by sacked workers and members of the public service workers union.

The 32 workers were dismissed in February this year for allegedly wearing red attire on duty to demonstrate their displeasure over working conditions.

The workers were expected to besiege the media company’s premises today, Tuesday April 4, but they have been stopped by the court order.

Secretary to the public workers union, Richard Ampabeng, told Starr News the union and the dismissed staff are ready to battle the case in court and get the injunction lifted for their planned action to continue.

Meanwhile, the Trades Union Congress has also given its backing to the protest of the Public Service union and troubled staff .
