TMA to sue GNA Regional Manager and..

The Executive Committee of the Tema Municipal Assembly (TMA) on Wednesday suggested the transfer of Mr George Osei-Antwi, the Tema Regional Manager of Ghana News Agency (GNA), from Tema for allegedly tarnishing the image of three officials of the TMA.

The committee has in addition decided to sue Mr Osei-Antwi for his story on the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) report that was carried by both the print and electronic media on Monday, December 2, 2002.

This was contained in a sessional address by Mr Samuel Evans Ashong Narh(pictured), Tema Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) at the opening of the first ordinary meeting of the TMA.

Mr Narh said the letter concerning the transfer had been written to the Minister for Information and Presidential Affairs and copied to the Attorney General and Minister for Justice among others "and the Assembly is awaiting the outcome."
