Swedru Police nab criminal soaking wee in ‘akpeteshie’ on Christmas Day

Police in Agona Swedru have arrested a suspected criminal with a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs soaked in locally distilled gin ‘akpeteshie’ and stored in a gallon at his home, MyNewsGh.com can report.

The suspect also had in his possession a Walter foreign pistol with point 8mm (.8mm) ammunition and one revolver foreign pistol with one hundred and two point 22 (.22) ammunition, six AA ammunition, two mini speakers, two pendrives, one Vodafone modem, one power bank, one Q box decoder, two digital cameras, one I phone, four unserviceable assorted tablets, five unserviceable assorted mobile phones, two HP laptops, one Toshiba laptop, one ASUS laptop, four assorted laptop chargers and a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs wrapped in a black polythene bag.

According to police investigators who confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com, the suspect Emmanuel Ehuren a.k.a Yaw Don was arrested in connection with the stealing of one I phone, 43 inches Samsung flat screen television, one Lenovo laptop, five wrist watches, pieces of jewellery.

Police, therefore, followed him to his room at Agona Asafo where the stated items were retrieved.

He has been provisionally charged with possession of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs, possession of a firearm without authority and possession of items suspected to be stolen and will soon be arraigned.
