Douri Bennin Haji, family spokesperson for Major Maxwell Adam Mahama is calling on the public to volunteer information that could possibly lead to more evidence to aid in the prosecution of suspects in connection with his gruesome murder.
On Accra-based Peace Fm, he thanked the media and citizenry for showing concern towards the unfortunate incident but urged them to volunteer any information no matter how minute it is to help police in their investigations.
“We are appreciative of the efforts by the media and the citizens but we would like to appeal to everyone who has any evidence or hints to volunteer that to police investigators to unravel those behind the gruesome murder of our brother. We believe that very vital information is required to unravel the main culprits to be dealt with”, he disclosed
So far about 45 persons including one Kwame Tufour who used a cement block to hit the army officer, resulting in his death have been arrested and are currently on detention until the next adjourned date which June 21, 2017.
They include; William Baah, Bismark Donkor, Philip Badu, Kofi Nyame, Anthony Amoa, Kofi Badu and Yaw Amor.
Others are , Dolly Kormla, Domeh Francis, Sonu Mwaunyo, Sonu Emmanuel, Ernest Ally, Kojo Mfum, Kwasi Buah, Issah Manu and Prince Amponsah.
They have been provisionally charged with two counts of murder contrary to section 46 of the criminal code and other offences act of 1960, Act 29 as well as conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder: contrary to section 23(1) and 46 of the criminal and other offences act 1960 (Act 29)
