Stock Exchange in drab trading

Accra, Jan. 12, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) recorded another drab trading session with the main stock index barely moving up. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, crawled up by 0.26 points to end the day at 6,811.29 points.

Change for the year ended at 0.19 per cent while market capitalisation closed at 97,653.93 billion cedis from 3,663.42 million shares.

There were three price changes, all positive.

Starwin Products Limited (SPL) again made a gain, climbing by 60 cedis to 740 cedis. Ghana Commercial Bank was four cedis better at 10,256 cedis and Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) went up by two cedis to 6,567 cedis.

Total number of shares that changed hands was 279,000 from Monday's 195,000.
