Staying awake from 10 pm to 6 am daily: 24-year-old lady reveals key demand of money ritual

A 24-year-old lady from Accra has shared her harrowing tale of a quest for wealth that has left her sleepless, haunted by fear and gripped by trauma.

Speaking on TV3's Confessions, she recounted her descent into a dark world of spiritual manipulation and sacrifice, all in pursuit of financial gain.

According to her, the journey began while working in a nightclub where she encountered a man known for his extravagant spending and approached him for assistance in improving her financial situation. Little did she know the sinister path that lay ahead.

"I am in great fear and experiencing some level of trauma. My confession is one that manifests the proverb 'All that glitters is not gold.' I am a 24-year-old lady and I was working in a nightclub to make ends meet.

“There was a man who kept visiting our club quite constantly, and every time he came around, he would spend huge sums of money.

“There was a day when I could no longer keep my curiosity to myself, and I really needed help. So, I mustered courage and out of curiosity asked him to help me make money. He told me that it was going to be an easy task.

“He said that I was just going to have conversations with certain people, and at the end of the day, he would give me money. So, I felt that was very easy, and for the first gig he gave me, we earned GH¢80,000, and he gave me GH¢ 10,000,” she narrated.

She recounted how fat earnings caused her to quit her job at the nightclub.

“He told me that there was one more thing we needed to do in addition to the conversations we had been having. We travelled to Nigeria, and we met a spiritual guide; we called him Baba Zone. I was initiated and taught everything I needed to know.

“I was in the game; I could call myself a boss now. I was earning, I could spend, I was comfortable, and I was happy. I mean, I thought I had made it in life,” she asserted.

She added that she soon realized the extent of the sacrifices demanded of her. Alongside monetary tributes to Baba Zone, she was instructed never to sleep between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am for the rest of her life.

“One of the things I was told by Baba was that every time I earned, I was supposed to split the money into three: one for charity, one for myself, and one for Baba.

“So, one of the days, I visited Baba to give him his share of the money, and he told me there was one thing I needed to do; he called it a sacrifice. That is, I needed to stay awake from 10 pm to 6 am for the rest of my life. In the beginning, I thought I could do it, but it's really too much,” she added.
