Starbow gives children a tour of its aircraft

Starbow Airlines has given children of the Kressna Orphanage in Sowotuom a tour of its British Aerospace 146 aircraft.

The visit was part of a familiarisation tour of the Kotoka International Airport organised by the Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central, aimed at giving the children an opportunity to experience first-hand how air travel worked and how it facilitated the movement of goods and people.

Mr Archibald Kittoe, Senior Marketing Officer of Starbow, said the airline was pleased to host the pupils adding that the taste for flying should be instilled at a very young age.

Maame Kwaaba Stephens, a Director of the Rotary Club, said: "The club has been very supportive of this orphanage. We donated GH¢ 10,000 plus loads of food items and clothing to the orphanage on Sunday.

"One of their Christmas wishes had been to see a plane and with the help of Starbow and the Ghana Airport Company Ltd the club arranged for the kids to come to KIA and tour the airport terminal and Starbow's plane.

"It has given us the opportunity to really experience the true meaning of Christmas and what Rotary is all about.

This is what they wanted for Christmas, we made it happen. Though we had a short time to execute it, Starbow readily embraced the idea and made it happen."
