Staff of BOG continue with strike action

Accra, Oct. 10 GNA - Customers who went to the Bank Of Ghana (BOG) on Friday were disappointed when they were told that striking workers of the bank were still in meeting with management over increment in utility allowances.

The disappointed customers were asked to come on Monday to transact business.

Staff at the bank are demanding increment in allowances for their utilities, electricity and water.

A visit by GNA to the bank premises saw the staff with red arm bands and armed police personnel guarding the premises to protect life and property.

A source at the bank told the GNA that a press release would be issued after the meeting.
