A 29-year-old cyclist, Alexander Kwadwo Yeboah has been knocked and killed by a speeding vehicle at the outskirt of Kwahu Asona on the Nkawkaw bypass motor road in the Eastern Region, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, a Nissan Frontier Pick up with registration number ER 2525-15 driven by one Danso Daniel aged 46, with three occupants on board from Kumasi towards Accra, knocked down the deceased.

According to him, the deceased was riding a bicycle on the road to Saafi when he was knocked down and sustained severe injuries.

He was rushed to Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw for treatment but died soon after arrival and the body deposited at the same Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Danso Daniel has since been detained for cautioning while the accident vehicle has been impounded at MTTD for Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) examination.
