Special Competition: Medeama SC face resurgent AshantiGold at Tarkwa

Expect a titanic clash at the Tarkwa and Aboasu Park on Wednesday when Medeama SC welcome Ashanti Gold in Match Day 10 of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.

After suffering a surprise defeat against Eleven Wonders last weekend, Medeama SC will be looking to bounce back against the Miners.

The Mauve and Yellow boys are on top of Zone A with Sixteen points five more than their midweek opponent who are fourth on the league table.

They have won all their games at home in the competition.

Ashanti Gold on the other hand are still searching for their first away win in the competition.

They have lost two and drawn two on the road in the competition.

The Miners had to comeback from a goal down to beat Berekum Chelsea by 2-1 at Obuasi.

A defeat against Medeama will see them trail by eight points making their qualification difficult.

Team News

Medeama are still struggling with a number of injuries.

Goalkeeper Ofori Antwi, Ibrahim Yaro and captain Zuttah all missed the clash with Eleven Wonders over the weekend.

They will have to face late fitness tests to be available for the clash on Wednesday.

Ashanti Gold on the other hand missed the service of Shafiu Mumuni and Appiah McCarthy in the game against Chelsea.

Richard Osei Agyemang is finally cleared to be back in the team after serving his three match ban.
