Space FM news editor resigns

Reliable information available to Radio News indicates that Sunyani based Space FM's news editor, Francis Owusu-Ansah, has resigned his position. Our sources very close to Space FM said Owusu-Ansah tendered in his resignation letter on Wednesday, January 25, after closing from work.Reasons for his resignation are scanty but, we are informed that he stated that he was resigning for varied reasons. Owusu-Ansah joined Space FM from Shalom Radio in 2003 and has since masterminded the station's professional news delivery with the support of his competent news staff. His sudden departure would certainly be a big blow to Space FM especially at a time two new stations, J-life FM and Storm FM are warming up to offer stiff opposition. Owusu-Ansah was the news editor at Shalom Radio in Berekum from 1997 to 2003. Soon after joining Space FM, he offered to assist his colleague, Philip Nana Koah to set up Max FM in the Western region. Eight months later,

Owusu-Ansah returned home to Space FM, where he has been since until his resignation. With Owusu-Ansah's exit, the mantle would either fall on Seth Opoku Agyemang or Mavis Quaye to direct the news at Space FM. Stay tuned for developments.
