Someah -Addae to contest Ellembele Seat- Promise to win by 50%

Mr.Ebenezer Someah- Addae, an activist of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and a lecturer of the Agogo College of Education in the Ashanti Region, has indicated that in his party’s quest to win more Parliamentary seats in the 2012 general elections, will contest the Ellembele seat in the Western Region.

He has declared that “I will win by 50% votes to become the MP for the people of the Ellembele constituency”.

He added that the people of Ellembele have been waiting for ‘far too long’ to be redeemed by the CPP and urged to fight for victory by reclaiming the seat which was once noted to be the CPP’s seat come next year. The aspirant noted that, the CPP being the main traditional party for the people of Nzemaland needs to be rekindled by the individuals who are seen to be dedicated and committed to serve the good people of the area. According to him, the call to contest the Ellembele seat by a large margin of the youth both within and outside the CPP was due to the disappointment they have in the incumbent legislator Mr. Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah’s failure to fulfil his campaign promises he made during the 2008.

“The people of Ellembele are fed up with both the NDC and NPP, and it is time they consider choosing a candidate who will serve as the link between good fortunes and development in the area”. Mr. Addae noted.

He mentioned that when he is given the nod by his party, would make Ellembele Constituency the ‘Bread basket’ of the country through massive agriculture drive .This will done by turning all farming lands one mile from the main road into farms to cultivate food crops.Agro processing industries will be set up to take care of excess food stuffs and also to add value to it.A common market like that of Techiman will be created to market these farm produce.

He also said he will lead the industrialization of Nzemaland, this would be characterized by the local manufacturing sector such as the vulcanizing, welding as well as construction which he promised to make it more marketable.

“These initiatives shall be executed dispassionately even if I don’t win the seat; since the youth of Ellembele needs a lot of skill training to enable them become independent”. Touching on the agriculture sector, highlighted that he will use his experience to lobby and encourage investors to set up agro processing industries in the area to take care of the raw materials such as the cocoa, coconut, oil palm as well as other cash crop. He blamed the government for its inability to streamline measures to control the indiscriminate use of the natural resources in the area by some expatriates. He also promised to improve the educational sector of the people especially those in the hinterland by ensuring that they are given the best in terms of infrastructure, teaching and learning materials as well as improve the living conditions of the teachers.

The youth of the party were encouraged to be mindful of the ideological principles of the party and fight hard to win more seats for the party in the 2012 general elections.
